Using the Eurostar from London, it's easy to get away abroad even if you don't have much time. Juts a weekend will do, or even a day trip but a few days is always better. The Eurostar takes just over two hours to get to Paris these days and Paris is easily the most popular city for Eurostar breaks, even if you have to start from Manchester or further afield.
